Heres what breed net has to say about Obsequious and MR FLYNN ..clik on link
below...
G’day to all our fans and friendsfrom Coronation Park. As most of you are aware we have
had a sensational year coming through past June. I must apologize for the lack
of newsletters once again! Time seems ever so quickly to simply slip on by. So, here goes as condensed as possible.
WINDERADEEN Dispersal...
In November 2009 at the AQHA awards night
whilst accepting end of year awards for Overall HIGH POINT HALTER HORSE of the
nation, ‘Kiss Me All Over’, Sharon Winters Coronation Park bred filly. I was drawn
as the very lucky person on the night to win the breeding to HF Somethin Hot
donated by Winderadeen Corporation for the
youth of Australia. I was actually absent at the drawing being down stairs
with some very dear friends. Pauline Stewart Fox found me and informed me of
the win. I was of course thrilled to say the least! I then had to set about
deciding which mare to breed to this wonderful stallion.
The upcoming total dispersal of Winderadeen
Corporation Quarter Horses and the talk that HF SOMETHIN HOT (Sam as he is
affectionately known) would more than likely go back to America,
prompted me to send one of my favourite mares to him. I decided to breed A
Designer Copy in an attempt to breed a nice big Hunter. Copy is 16.2 and the
sweetest natured biggest softest mover you would ever want to meet.
Interested in the pending sale,
Peter and I visited with Pauline at Winderadeen on 20th December to
take a look through the mares to add maybe one or two to our broodmare
collection. Winderadeen Havalilfaith was being worked by Natasha Backhouse as
we pulled up and this mare’s movement took our breath away. We were in love! The rest is now history
Coronation Park Stud purchased W.
Havalilfaith as our first buy of the sale on the pleasure
horse/second day of the Winderadeen dispersal. She holds the record for the
highest priced QH mare ever sold at auction in Australia at 120K. Then we added HF SOMETHIN HOT (Sam) An Australasian record for a QH stallion at Auction at 310K. The most respected broodmare in the country Winderadeen Gay Cee Bars, her full
sister Winderadeen Cee Me Smoke with an
Invited Tiger filly at foot and the beautiful Winderadeen Ima Happy Gal with a
Sam colt at foot, completed the package. Gay Cee and Happily are both in foal
to Sam . In all Coronation Park Stud spent just on 750K adding the best
bloodlines to our nice list of quarter horses, we are so looking forward to the
future continuing to produce the best all round horses of the country for your enjoyment.
WINDERADEEN HAVALILFAITH
We had such fun with Faithy,
Natasha, Travis and Sienna these past few months. Faithy is Natasha’s favourite
horse and we delighted in leaving Faithy with Tash to show for us. This proved
to be a very good idea with the pair taking the 3yo Classics through Summer
Sizzler- the $10,000 Di Candillo western pleasure, then on to and through
Halter showcase taking both the Hunter and Western Pleasure show cases. Faithy
though had an under lying problem that was niggling at Tash. She wasn’t quite
herself, as Tash put it. Warren, Tash’s dad was so wonderful helping out with
pads under Faithy’s soles, this was helping but Peter was convinced it was not
bruising or laminitis. Tash and the team Backhouse nursed Faithy through these
shows with tremendous results considering all. Upon arrival back to home base
Peter had TNT organise to have specific x-rays done on Faithy’s feet. Sure as
Peter had thought Faith had a very bad infection up through her foot that
threatened to put an end to her showing for good if it were not carefully
handled and cleaned up. With great diligence and care Tash did as she was
directed. Faithy progressed and slowly but surely came through the problem. At one
week before AQHA national championships new X-rays were completed and the go
ahead to continue through to NPHA with
just enough time to get her right, Travis and Natasha pressed on.
AQHA nats were used as a starting
point to ready for the big event- 3yo WP Futurity at NPHA. Still showing signs
of the rest at Q10 Faithy did well to get through the show on her fitness level
and Tash nursed her wonderfully pulling placings in every event, we were happy
with the results and looked forward to the NPHA with great anticipation.
At NSW state championships, the
week prior, Faithy had a lovely warm up to the NPHA. She won the High point 3yo and Tash
was pleased with the results. NPHA was tremendous and more than we could have
dreamed of. The 3yo Western pleasure futurity was Faith and Tash’s prize for
their dedication. We were absolutely over the moon with the results and when
Liberations was reserve to Faith we were even more happy, we love Liberations
as if she were still our own. Two of the best Western pleasure horses of the
3yo year Faith and Libby, you could not imagine our excitement.
Faithy came straight home to Coronation
Park Stud and into the spelling pastures with fresh lush green grass up to her
knees, she was in horse heaven and deserved her rest over winter.
Plans are to breed Faithy to and
flush embryos from her through to January with breedings by:
HF SOMETHIN HOT, probably two bySam, our own leading Australian sire of pleasure, hunter and Trail
horses.

Faiths life at present is that of a princess. She has the best pasture
throughout the day, comes into the warm barn at night with her doona rugs,
under lights with yummy tucker and hay. She looks a treat and is really
enjoying her holiday, she bucks, rears and plays all day with W. Cee Me Smoke
and Dehereafter our other
mares on the ET programs and under lights with her in readiness for the coming breeding
season. Fingers crossed this all goes to plan.
HF SOMETHIN HOT (SAM)
WOW,
Where on earth do we start with Sam’s
results?? His progeny have exploded this year winning mostly all the events
worth winning! The leading trainers love them and have had enormous runs with
these great horses. Summer Sizzler, halter showcase, AQHA NPHA all dominated in
the age events that they were eligible to compete in. ( no senior horses in age
groups) We sat in awe of the placing’s at these major shows.
The big money events at Q10 were dominated by
sons and daughters of Sam. It was wonderful to sit and watch the amateurs
riding their Sam’s to Victory!
The stand out of the year for us was when an
old friend, Cheryl Duff’s beautiful 2yo filly kept creeping up the placing’s
from the very start of the season, Cheryl riding her and her trainers as well. She
was the ONE TO WATCH! No doubt about the outcome when “Somethin About Lucy” took
the NPHA 2YO money event in front of a very excited crowd. The team of Rocking
horse ranch went ballistic when Kane Skopp rode this lovely mare to victory fro
his first big event win. Sam produced 8 of the top ten horses from over 30
entries. The way these horses move, their natures, trainability and their
steady and consistent way of going is great testament to this wonderful sire. There
are too many top horses by Sam to mention here, we’d just like to CONGRATULATE
AND THANK all the owners and trainers who showed these great horses to the
phenomenal achievements this year. We have met some amazing folks that own
Sam’s progeny that have gone out of their way to seek us out and tell us about
their great horses.
We
will endeavour to congratulate you with a monthly addition to our web site of
your wins. Three horses each month will be highlighted with your achievements
and at the end of the year (August 2011) you will go into a draw for a breeding
to Sam! So be sure to send in your results and photos so we can include you and
your lovely horses in the congratulations with in our show page.
Sam
created quite an impression in the USA with his great progeny, so much so that
we have had loads of interest in breedings to him, several leading ranches have
shown interest in securing Sam for the northern hemisphere breeding season.
Peter and I went to the states in July to search out the possibility of sending
Sam to America as a shuttle stallion for the northern hemisphere breeding season. Sadly the
costs of sending him over plus the payment on his value (310K) 10% there of, to
the US government is prohibitive! Sam represents our lively hood. A huge investment on
our part to purchase this incredible horse, we just simply are not prepared to
take the risk on the shipping and care of him at the other end of the world.
The breeding of 40 USA mares is simply not worth the risk factors involved. We have some frozen semen
in the states and are prepared to ship more if need be.
Thank
you SAM for such an exciting year!
KISS ME ALL OVER + CP DIORISSIMO
A very Big
CONGRATULATIONS Sharon and Darren with Kissed' wonderful achievements in
2009/10. Many futurity champions, National champions NPHA and Show case wins.
Kissed has had a little break from showing through March till July and will
return to the show ring come spring with her stable companion C.P. Diorissimo,
Sharons now yearling filly from Kissed dam’s full sister. We wish them
continued success and look forward to hearing how the GIRLS are doing.
LIBERATIONS ~ A VERY BIG
CONGRATULATIONS
LIBERATIONS ~ Bred and raised by CORONATION PARK STUD Owned by Kathy Sapuppo – Shown by Rocking Horse Ranch. Liberations had an enormous show run in 2009/
10 with the very talented Holly Johnson riding her in all her events. Lib was
sold to Kathy as a hunter/pleasure futurity prospect. She certainly proved that
and more and has been a great introduction for Kathy into the wonderful world of
pleasure horses. I feel sure this mare would be competitive on the World hunter
Stage. Lib’s female family has produced many CHAMPIONS at halter, western
pleasure and Hunter, including AQHA CHAMPIONS NPHA, AQHA NATIONAL PHAA national
champions and Congress CHAMPIONS at halter, western pleasure trail, and hunter.
Her dam Kulgoa Liberty Trail is one of two colonial bred mares at C.P. The
other is a daughter that has produced AQHA National trail champions. We owned
the grand dam Hunchette who was an amazing AQHA National champion producer.
Liberty Trail is one of our favorite mares! Her babies do it all, having also produced
great rodeo event horses, representing versatility at its best, AQHA, Congress
and PHAA.
Liberation in training at the CJ training stables had a
wonderful show run. Her wins throughout
the show season were in the best of company, Holly Johnson showed Lib
beautifully, we were thrilled to see her wins along the way , at NPHA and to
take the coveted award of High point 3yo at the AQHA national championships,
this being the second year in succession. Congratulations to CJ training
stables and Kathy for the continued success with this beautiful mare.
Libs dam is in foal to our freshman sire UWANTAPIECEOFME and we
intend to flush embryo’s from our great ole girl K. Liberty Trail this season
by Hf Somethin Hot
CP CLASSIC SENSATION ~ Sold at the completion of his first season, 2008 at stud
in Australia to a very excited Melinda Roffey. Has had a great start with his
progeny showing in 2010.
Samantha Smiths beautiful cremello colt JSS
Crème em Kid made a long trip to the AQHA national championships to take home a
national championship title and two reserve champions. Sam and Jason are
excited about what the future holds for them and we wish them all the very best
with their handsome boy.
Another to show is Sharon Winters filly CP Diorissimo who at her
first out was Reserve weanling fut champion with only a couple of weeks prep
from weaning. Congrats Sharon and wishing you a great show season for 2011.
Maralyn Shelton has a palomino filly half
sister to Sharon's Kiss me All over that her girls intend showing come spring. Maralyn reports the
filly is growing UP and Up at the moment. With big boots to fill this filly
will be well watched, Good luck girls.
CP Ivanother Classic has been sold to a
lovely lass in Queensland,
Kellie Stirton who absolutely adores him. This classy gelding is a ½ brother to
some great show horses from Coronation Park Stud. Good Luck Kellie
with Ivan we look forward to hearing of your success in the future.
We have a cremello yearling filly from an
imported great Skipper W, Weiscamp bred mare Skip Lacerita for sale. This filly
is going to be a lovely big filly with muscle to burn. Not only will she be a
great producer of palomino or buckskin foals, she will be a lovely show horse
also. If you’re looking for a good filly sound and correct with outstanding
bloodlines, give me a call.
~ UWANTAPIECEOFME ~ WORLD CHAMPION AND AQHA NATIONAL CHAMPION ~
(pic below taken in APRIL 2009 as a 2YO!)

We're all getting EXCITED here now as the mares start to come
into the foaling yards in readiness for their babies by this outstanding horse.
We are proud of the Tribulation record that Coronation Park Stud produced for him on halter and Performance horses, and this young stallion
hails from the same female tap root family of Tribulation. Handsome has an even
DEEPER depth of breeding! Pulling on Noble Tradition (Impressive) following up
with bloodlines to encourage the strongest pedigree critic to breed. Handsome
has lots of PRETTY and boy CAN HE MOVE!
This is the same statement we made about Trib!!! Do you remember???! Be
sure to keep abreast on what Handsome can produce from our OUTSTANDING
broodmare band.
Coronation Park is looking forward to some golden babies grazing our green pastures by Handsome
in 2010.
Pick yours early all foals will be for sale.
NEWS FLASH……… Vanessa Cleary reports the first foal born by
Handsome (Uwantapieceofme) A PALOMINO COLT with great bone the prettiest head

TOUCHED

Touched had a great start to his show career. 3 reserve AQHA national
titles and Reserve champion stallion at the Halter showcase. A growthy colt
that is elegant and modern with a beautiful nature. About to be started under saddle. Touched is for sale to a
discerning home. He has a pedigree to die for, by the great TOUCHDOWN KID US) from Dual high pointmare of America A DESIGNER ORIGINAL. Half brother to state, national and NPHA champions,
looking for a quality stud colt? TOUCHED
fits that criteria. 2011 will see him mature into a gorgeous horse.
JUST SHAMELESS
Thank you to all our friends from around the globe for your flowers,
cards, tributes, emails and posts on the passing of this outstanding horse.
Everyone who ever met Buddy loved him, he was the cause of many dreams started
in the minds of young people who visited him here at Coronation Park Stud. Many of these dreams realising fruition with these people returning to
buy one of his progeny from us. Elizabeth Pride was the owner of Buddy when he
crossed the rainbow bridge and his loss to her is unimaginable! Elizabeth’s dreams were
based around owning this wonderful horse that she waited 10 years to own. We
miss Buddy and pass on our deepest sympathy to Elizabeth and Myles.

WINDERADEEN HAPPY CHAP
A very big congratulations
Ross and Nette Gould and their long time friend and owner Olivia De Souza on
the purchase of the outstanding HF Something Hot colt Winderadeen Happy Chap.
We advertised this amazing colt in horse deals to be released in the June
edition. Ross and Nette called into see Chappy
on their way home from the NPHA and fell instantly in love with him. He
has so much charisma, elegance and that easy lope and length to his stride that
only Sam can do. I let him of the quadrunner and
this beautiful baby just trotted and loped along side as if he’d been doing this
all his life. Nancy Cahill (USA top
judge and trainer) commented that this colt was her favourite foal from the 09Winderadeen draft. We thought so too that’s why we bought his momma.
Here's whatAnnette had to say about the purchase of Chappy...
We
are sooo excited about Happy, thank you, thank you, thank you.
This came when they had time to think about what they had
bought...
Thank you so much for your continued support
and updates, we are so greatful. We are blown out how the events have unfolded
(all the stars were aligned)
Thanks for not disclosing any information,
as you have said , its no ones business its also professional on your behalf.
As for a little story about ACE ( Ace of the Deck) . I'm a bit lost for words, it is like de ja
vu , he is so great minded, a beautiful disposition ,forgiving, strong, super
trainable with such qualities in which he taught us what to look for as only a
great horse can teach you , we hope HAPPY CHAP can carry on with these
wonderful qualities. As you know we had ACE on and off over a period of 20
years and as Ross's training techniques changed so did Ace adjust to Ross so
much so that at the age of 17 he stepped back into the show pen at NPHA and
won "Snr Western Pleasure Stakes"
plus "Senior H.U.S. Stakes".
All those years ago when we travelled with
Harry to Kaths at Coronation to purchase ACE we would never have perceived how
this great horse would be and to have touched our lives in so many ways. Ace
truly taught us what a great horse is.
We now look forward to crossing his progeny
with our new little Happy Chap. Who knows what success we may have with
this lovely cross.
Sincere thanks, Nett, Ross, and Olivia
Then a little later and after his arrival at The Gould’s
Happy Chappy has melted all our hearts. He
is setttled in eating and drinking well as you have said before he just takes
everything in his stride, he is a very strong and healthy kid. Thankyou for
caring and we will keep you updated from time to time on the little boys progress
We love that over 20
years down the track Nette Ross and Olivia have returned to buy another top
horse from us, we are thrilled that Chappy will have the opportunity he so
deserves to be a great horse.
We had over 20 calls to purchase Chappy and many
people were sad they missed him. His momma is carrying a full brother or sister
to foal in October and will be rebred and an embryo flushed by Sam and several
other leading USA sires. Be sure to ear mark one for yourself!! Embryos will be for sale, as will
mares carrying E.T foals.

Trip to the USA
In July Peter and I headed to America on Business which included a little pleasure between.
Our new horse trailer is being built
by Titan in Kansas and we actually got to see
it before it was loaded to come to Australia. Photos when its here.
Built to order.
Priefert
Texas was a 2
day stop over. Preifert is a company that Peter imports so much of their
product for his business, building stud farms here and over the world. Eddie Preifert
and his family are wonderful people, their ranch is amazing and their whole
family, down to earth honest hard workers. Our dear Friend Spook Neville and
his friends are head of the Preifert Australia organisation and doing great
with the fencing, shelter, implements and barns in Australia. It was fantastic to see
through the huge factory and all the components they make for all sorts of farm
buildings, stock yards, farming equipment and feeders. We were lucky enough to
have Eddie take us to the Williams ranch to see through their newly barn built
by Priefert. Nothing is too big, too heart desires.
Fell in love with the Ford King Ranch
250 whilst we were there. We test drove the 250. the 350 was a little too big
for what we need. I’m not into goosenecks. Like the trailer bumper pull and
stay in motels. Spoilt me! We are seeking a new vehicle in this next couple of
months, so were driving lots of different vehicles.
Twas great catching up with dear
friends, Kathy and Todd Snodgrass of Rusk, Texas. Kathy is preparing a smashing 2010 filly
by CK Kid for the AQHA Select World Show in August that she will show. Steve Ferguson is
likely to show this beauty at the November AQHA World Show. Todd is as always, amazing with
his website construction. He is totally dedicated to delivering that top of the
range website for everyone. He designs all his own graphics so you won’t see
anything like his work anywhere else. I love that when you send in updates to
them for your site, they are up in less than 24 hrs most often. Kathy and Todd work from
Double S Ranch where you will find them everyday living and loving horses. I
know they will hit that World Champion soon. Good Luck guys and thank you for
sharing your loves and lives with us. We totally loved this time spent with
you.
We spent a day with Nancy Cahill and
Pauline and Peter Stewart Fox. Nancy and Bubbas ranch is lovely. Saw the
beautiful mare that was bred to Sam. She could come home with us any day.
Pauline and Peter were going off to Yellowstone national park soon after, I bet
they had a great time.
Down The Rail was a blast, it was
great to meet Sam’s (HF Somethin Hot) sire, Radical Rodder. I was amazed at his
tiny little dished face. What a gentleman and a great sire. Suezy and Joe Jeane
were wonderful hosts. Suezy had a lovely 2yo filly there that I loved. Could
have bought her home too.
Schroder Ranch and the Schroders were
the top of the list on ranches, Sam’s brother in blood Blazin Hot is a gorgeous
horse. We were fortunate enough to see the 2yos being schooled this day and
must say that the Blazin Hot colt from Miss Surely Bars (½ brother to Certain
Potential), is amazing. He has a big price tag that’s sure to be proven worthy
of as soon as he steps into the show pen. Big, scopey, true and honest with
that same movement that HF Somethin Hot progeny are truly renowned for. Loved
this colt! His momma sure was a top mare and we saw her in the flesh and two of
her 2yo daughters being schooled the same day. Joan Schroder and her wonderful
staff could not have been more helpful to us. Jeany is Joan’s right hand lady
and is a delightful talented and interesting lady who is well versed on
bloodlines and quality. The ranch, the people, the horses were all of the
highest quality. Oh and lots of the Blazin Hot progeny are so versatile, they
are not only western pleasure horses. Joan and Robbie’s son ropes off some of
the best bred Blazin Hot progeny, His top rope horse of the moment is a Blaze.
It was such a delight to see Blazin Hot, its no wonder his progeny are great.
He is bred to be a champion and a champion sire, we are blessed to own Sam and
know that Sam’s heritage is what’s taken him there.
The cutting at Fort Worth was great. I love going to the
cutting there. Oh and Priefert look like being the outfitters for the whole of
the new Fort Worth complex. We spent 4 days at the
Stockyards Hotel. If you’re ever in Fort
Worth this accommodation is a must. Shopping opposite
is great with two outfit stores that are to die for, expensive but well worth the
price tags. The rodeo at the coliseum is pretty neat too. We were entertained
by the mayor of Fort Worth along with three
dignitaries from Mexico at the Rodeo. It was great fun.
I rode a very special mare in Texas. Have not ridden
for years, this one would make me want to make a comeback Thank you Troy
Oatley. Good Luck with her at Reitchart.
The
Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame was opened on the Saturday in the coliseum whilst we
were there and to celebrate Steve (mayor) organised the show of a lifetime, the
town was amass with folks enjoying the
festivities and the parade down the main street was sure something to see. I
forgot the camera this day, as id packed it in the bag as this was the day we
flew out to San Francisco to leave for home. So no photos! Gggrr.
In all we drove some 2000 miles, saw
many great horses and ranches, people and places. The time in America is
never long enough. The Indian culture is astounding. We have a special invitation
to visit the Choctaw Indian herds of ponies when we next go back, an invitation
we truly hope to keep. These horses descend from the famous painted pony that
won the 3000 mile endurance race in the 1800’s there was a movie made in the
past few years on him, Hidalgo.
The Choctaw Indians were given Hidalgo when he returned to America by his half
bred Indian owner to breed ponies and run free for the rest of his life in
appreciation of Hidalgo having given him his heart and soul. Our friends from
the tribe are wonderful people and such great artists. Peter bought me the most
wonderful turquoise jewellery from White Antelope and Her son Running Buffalo. White Antelope
is a great potter and we also bought home some lovely pottery. Would it be
interesting to breed some of this wonderful Indian native pony to some of these
endurance Arabians to see what would come of them. These Choctaw ponies are the
toughest in the world. Interesting thought...
KID COOLSIFIED
We are thrilled to report that
Temptation Farms is shipping frozen semen to Australia on their MULTIPLE World
Champion, PROVEN sire SENSATION ~!~ KID COOLSIFIED. Kid has long been a favorite
of Coronation Park Stud. We intend to use him over several of our top halter
mares. It does not stop just there, Kid is producing ridding talent with his
progeny already winning under saddle, not surprising to see as his female
pedigree is all class and with Coosa there to enhance the ridden side it all
looks even more rosey for him. After all we believe in form to function and
this horse certainly proves this to be true.
Coosa figures well in lots of top performance and halter
pedigrees. We bought a mare into Australia several years back
carrying to MR TOUCHDOWN KID. A horse long admired because of his talent and
pedigree. He was world champion halter and went on to win for Roby Schroder at
ROPING for Rita Crundwell. I remember only too well back then as I coped quite
a bit of flack from a certain halter horse breeder telling me that in her
opinion Mr Touchdown Kid would not make it as a sire, and why would I breed to
him when his sire was still alive? I sure hope she stands to be corrected as I
now see this same person was instrumental in the purchase of one of his sons to
Australia.
Makes good sense to look into this horse’s pedigree as he is from COOSA’s VERY OWN female family!!!! Another plus………… as
this same person tried sooo hard to stop the import of the Coosa semen I bought in, back
then… Oh well you live n learn, looks like she has. We don’t follow trends we
set them…………… xoxoxo
NEWS FROM AROUND THE FARM:
Chickens:
Belgium Ducal bantams; sitting on eggs! Photos soon! Don’t
cha just love spring!
Garden:
There will be more plantings of white
standard roses around the fence surrounding the house soon. The gorgeous Pink Ladies
that were planted in memory of my dearest friend that I lost 3 years back,
Lorraine Joan Balaam, are all up and looking wonderful, there were 53 planted
as that was her age, we have not lost one. Can’t wait til they flower.
Should be a good spring as the winter
was rather mild with lots of rain. The clovers are pushing up with the rye
grasses lush and rich which should also make for great milk production.
I believe we are finished building (til
Peter decides me needs another shed!) We are seeking a farm up the ranges to
run our mares on come Summer/Autumn as we will probably have 15 E.T foals due.
So that’s 15 more mare we will be running with pleasure horse babies. Guess we
will be on the lookout for that other farm soon. So what happened to
retirement!!!
IMPORTS:
A big congratulations to all the new
imports and to the people who have paid the money to buy and bring them to our
shores. We wish you all the very best and look forward to seeing the progeny of
these great horses in the years to come
We’ve decided we are gonna sell almost
all the halter bred mares over the next year or so and thin down a little/lot!
So if you’re looking for a great bred
mare to breed to some of the new imports then you know all our mares are great
producers and can be bought.
Happy foaling folks and enjoy your
babies.
Keep warm and God Bless you all.

and Peter

Until next newsletter we would like to wish everyone preparing for the coming shows the very best of luck. REMEMBER , win loose or draw.
